I bring over a decade of publishing experience to my structural editing services.
What I look for in a structural edit: Characterisation (including GMC, character arcs, and consistent actions/reactions), plot cohesion, narrative structure, pacing, tension, setting, continuity of details, timelines, the romantic development (for romance novels!) and more.
What you receive:
- A marked-up digital manuscript with comments and suggested edits (offered in a helpful, constructive way with examples on how to implement any changes)
- A structural report detailing focus areas of the manuscript that could be revised (as well as cheering you on for all the things I loved!)
- Optional: a character bible
- Optional: a timeline calendar
